1. Jiro Dreams of Sushi

“Once you decide on your occupation, you must immerse yourself in your work. You have to fall in love with your work. Never complain about your job. You must dedicate your life to mastering your skill. That is the secret of success…”

I recently watched Jiro Dreams of Sushi [Netflix], a movie about a 85 year-old man who creates the world’s best Sushi. His restaurant has three Michelin stars and a meal┬ástarts at $300 per person, and lasts 15 minutes. I started the movie out of curiosity — I wanted to know why the sushi cost so much — but watched the entire thing because Jiro kept dropping such amazing pearls of wisdom.

The movie is long, but well worth it.
