It’s 2012, can we agree that it’s not ok to deny people equal rights, based on your religious or personal beliefs? The idea that you can enjoy and celebrate our basic freedoms while denying them to another group is the ultimate in hypocrisy.
We Americans are proud of our freedoms, TV anchors craft platitudes, extolling America as the freest, bestest, country in the world, and yet, much of our nations attention, and political efforts are wasted, debating which Americans are not worthy of basic rights and freedoms.
How wasteful, how sad.
