Don, unfortunately, you’re going to need to talk to Facebook about that. If Facebook has your email in use, then you’ll need to try a different email address.

Hello Sam,

I have a Face-book. I did your steps, but it wont let me create an account. It says that my emails already in use! That can not be though. I login with my email every day onto the face-book. Why is this? You didn’t put steps on this.

I had a facebook site for me. Opened one for my club as a non-profit. problem is, everytime I try to get something from RI to post to the club site, it appears on my site and not on the club site. as a result, members aren’t seeing the RI info I want them to see. Can you help??

Bernt, unfortunately, you cannot setup a “private” Facebook page for your club. You would have to create 2 different options.

1) GROUP – the group is where you would share information that is only available to members.

2) PAGE – This is the public facing part of your page. It is very important that you have this page, and that it is active. With the new donations systems, payment processing, checkins, etc that are coming to Facebook, a page is important!

I have established a Face-book side for our Rotary club. We want it to be limited to members only and therefore I established it as a group side. This was the only way I managed to keep it limited. An ordinary Face-book side is more flexible and I would be grateful if you could advise me how to establish a face-book side were I can control the accessability/limit to members only.
