Concert of your Life

Ok, what concert would you sell a family member into eternal slavery to see? I personally would give both my kidneys to have seen Queen and David Bowie performing “Under Pressure” live. I only have a video of it but if you think about the times they were in (think Live Aid) and the incredible talent that is present on that stage… its amazing.

I personally think that Freddy Mercury and David Bowie were (are) some of the best live performers for the Rock & Roll genre. A lot of bands get lost with the “message” or start to think they are more important than they really are (see: System of A Down). I love bands that just give an awesome performance to their fans who pay a large amount of money to see them in concert.

How about you? What major organs or family members are you willing to part with to see something amazing live.

  1. I’d give my kidneys to have been able to see Queen and David Bowie too; too bad I was barely 2 at the time. Although I did see Bowie sing it with Annie Lennox on Freddie Mercury’s tribute concert. Powerful song

  2. Sam Howat says:

What can I say… I have very eclectic tastes when it comes to music! :)

  3. Not sure I would give up an organ or family member to see anyone/anything live.

Only bands/artists I would actually want to see in concert are The Ataris, Green Day, and Michelle Branch (as a solo artist).

“Under Pressure” is a great song, until this moment the only version I had heard was the version by The Used and My Chemical Romance. I’d have to say the Queen and David Bowie performance was better.
