I was really torn between going strictly portfolio style with the new site or, aiming for a blog style website where I could continue to post up my thoughts.  In the end I went for a site that is a mix of both. 

With the static functionality i’ve put in place, I should be able to grow the “work” and sub pages of the site to showcase my projects and other interests while still allowing me to attempt regular blog posts.

I built the design out for Safari, and will need to do some massive tweaking in order to get it to work correctly in IE. I apologize to all IE users who are currently trying to suffer through the design in it’s current state. I am going to be busy over the next few days sprucing up the site and fixing compatibility issues.

Since putting this live I’ve already got a laundry list of changes that I want to do to add some elements of “design” to the site. Its really boring from the neck down and I want to spruce that up a fair bit. 

At any rate, this is the general look for now and we’ll see where it goes!

The belief that the smooth flow of information breathes life into all forms of social interaction.

During the course of my last re-design I promised myself that I wouldn’t be redesigning the site any time soon.  However, after comparing the items I liked about the website to the list of things I dislike, I have decided to renege that promise to myself.

I’ve always tried to participate in the May 1^st reboot each year and my work always seems to get in the way of reaching that goal. This year, I plan to start many months early so that by the time May comes around I -hopefully- will be ready to launch the new site.

I plan to post updates here regarding the redesign and ask for feedback from my friends.
