Smash Hit Displays Project Launched

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

One of the recent projects we launched at BLUETUX was for Smash Hit Displays. They provide full service trade show display systems for U.S. companies. As we began developing the project I was surprised at how competitive it is to market trade show displays on the internet! The PPC costs are high and the businesses seem pretty cut-throat.

Smash Hit Displays has been a leader in the Trade Show Displays industry for nearly 10 years and the website was starting to show it’s age. Dennis Nixon, owner of Smash Hit Displays contracted BLUETUX to begin the in-depth redesign process for the site.

The project goals weren’t simply to make aesthetic changes to the site; As Smash Hit Displays’ sales and advertising are completely web driven, the site had to be built to be user friendly but also search-engine friendly. BLUETUX has built the site completely from scratch, onto a new platform that would handle the growth of Smash Hit Displays and it’s customers.

As we continue to live up to our motto of being our customer’s “Partner in Technology” BLUETUX looks forward to helping Dennis and Smash Hit Displays in their continued efforts to develop their presence online in the years to come.

Latest Addiction: MUXTAPES

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

A few weeks ago I discovered an online service that allows people to create their own custom mix tapes and then upload the playlist to their service which will link to the songs and allow other people to view and share these lists with anyone. It’s been totally addicting for me and I’ve discovered a ton of music from it.

The service is called “MUXTAPES” (www.muxtapes.com) and provides a snazzy flash interface that is both useable and quick.

I’ve always enjoyed going through well prepared mixes to see other music that other people have put together. Its a great way to get some inspiration for new music. Based on this service, I’ve probably downloaded 10 new albums this last week alone. Oh right, and you can buy a single track or cd from songs that you find in the page right from amazon. It’s sick!

If you use the service, be sure to create an account and link a few of your own playlists here for me to see!
