During the course of my last re-design I promised myself that I wouldn’t be redesigning the site any time soon.  However, after comparing the items I liked about the website to the list of things I dislike, I have decided to renege that promise to myself.

I’ve always tried to participate in the May 1^st reboot each year and my work always seems to get in the way of reaching that goal. This year, I plan to start many months early so that by the time May comes around I -hopefully- will be ready to launch the new site.

I plan to post updates here regarding the redesign and ask for feedback from my friends.

Today I beat Cody Morrison (a mate from work) at a game of Ping Pong. The final score was 21 – 4 and I consider this to be a decisive blow to his moral. The fight is downhill for me now, he is on the defensive!

Our office team is small so there is no room for long term grudges and bickering, we either get along with each other or move on. Many offices have certain policies in place that resolve conflicts; we on the other hand prefer to settle our problems before they happen as much as possible. There is no set plan for this; we just go with the flow.

For example, Michael and I have meetings; we drink coffee and talk about the business and how we can improve things. This always seems to solve our differences, especially when we both realize we’re both fighting for the same thing and we just need to work it out.

With Cody it’s very different. He likes to hit things… so we play ping pong. This is pretty fun because the winner always walks away thumping his chest and claiming to be the dominate male. It’s all very manly and probably could be compared to something on the Discovery Channel.

Now pardon me, I have to go thump my chest and assert my dominance in the office.

So, I woke up this morning and logged into Word Press to check my comments log and saw that I had endured a sudden burst of linkage to my website. After checking the stats I discovered that I had been featured in a few website galleries including lightondark.com.

I never asked to be included or sent my design out for review but I was never-the-less flattered at the attention I had received, especially for a design I consider to be temporary (I’m doing the May 2007 reboot). I hope people enjoy the site and come back. There are many exciting things that will be taking place in this space over the next year.
